Just tapped Weyerbacher Ales for ALS.

Just tapped Weyerbacher Ales for ALS.

Ales for ALS was created by Loftus Ranches and Hopunion to support ALS research. Participating breweries have access to a proprietary hop blend. Only a limited number of breweries are able to participate due to the limited availability of the hop blend supply. Weyerbacher is honored to be able to participate in Ales for ALS for the second year. For more info, check out the Ales for ALS site!

Weyerbacher’s 2015 Ales for ALS offering is a 7.8% ABV medium bodied IPA made with a variety of experimental hops and 40% Equinox hops. Most of the hops were used post boil and in the fermenter as dry hops, giving this brew a very fragrant aroma and big hop flavor. The aroma is floral and fruity with notes of pineapple, citrus and coconut. The hop flavor overwhelms the mild malt character with a spicy, herbal quality finished with strong citrus and fruit notes that linger cleanly after each sip.
